From The
Murphy Bedlam CD:
"The
band was born from the love and respect of their Irish heritage by two proud Irish American brothers, Michael and Lenny Federal.
The two are lifelong musicians inspired by the memories of their father who nurtured that feeling of celebration through song
and fancied himself a “whiskey tenor”.
Offering
a rich mix of traditional Celtic folk songs with Irish lore based originals; this compilation will please the listener who
shares the love of a tale well told.
The lads are accompanied by accomplished musicians Rusty Barkley, Dennis Johnson,
Charlie Atwell and Jim Brock, all of whom have embraced the unique flavor of the Celtic style and sound, while contributing
their own individual styles to the blend.
This collection is primarily from live performances based around the Federal
Family’s Annual St. Patrick’s Day Celebration. The studio recordings included, “Patrick and The
Snakes”, "Bubbles” and “The Rose of Tralee” reflect
the themes adopted for the large contingent that march in Charlotte, North Carolina’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
“
The boys want to thank the hundreds who come from all over the country each year to
join with them in this merrymaking event!
Slainte!"
