A Fan's Review of a Friday Night....

The Lenny Federal Band. Members are respectively: Lenny Federal on guitar, John Wicker, guitar, Mahlon Thomas, bassist and Johnny Wicker on drums. These guys are all pro and on a mission to entertain attentive audiences. One of the things I liked about the show was there was no fluff. Lenny and the boys in the band played every note from the heart and were having as much fun as the rest of us. They rocked the house! Lenny…let me see if I can find a few adjectives that haven't been worn out to tell you about this man's music…high spirited, hot guitar licks, rockin' rollin' foot stompin' blues, soft and mellow. He covers it all. Lenny will long be remembered as one of the best we have in North Carolina. He does make us proud. The band delivered rhythm and sweet harmony with perfect time.
The second set the band did as gentlemen do. With invitation some really cool people from the audience joined them for an exciting finale to the night. And, one Brad Parks kept the crowd howling for more with his leads on the harmonica. Apart from being a hottie with his cute face and dancing eyes, that boy can blow a harp! Chris Cook treated us to a version of "Goin' Down Slow" that loosened the rafters. And just when we thought it couldn't get any better, there was a singer performed a home-grown version of "Mustang Sally" that I thought was better than the original!

More to come on Lenny....
